Firmware Images

We recommend using a build system like Yocto or Rugix Bakery to build proper firmware images for embedded Linux devices. Nexigon comes with ready-made support for both, Yocto and Rugix Bakery.

For Yocto, we provide meta-nexigon with ready-made recipes and layers.

For Rugix Bakery, we provide the nexigon-rugix repository with ready-made recipes and a quickstart template that also allows for OTA updates through Nexigon and Rugix without additional configuration. As an extension of the Rugix quickstart guide, you can also follow the Nexigon quickstart guide for Rugix.
