Audit Logging

An audit log records actions performed on Nexigon resources. Open Audit Log in the web interface to inspect entries within your access scope.

Instance administrators can inspect actions across an entire Nexigon Hub instance through the administrator interface. Organization members see only the resources they are authorized to access.

Audit entries cannot be changed through the web interface or API. Database administration remains outside that restriction.

Each entry records its actor, such as the user, device, or organization API token that performed the action. The audit log shows users with their email address and, if set, their name. Devices and API tokens appear with their name. IDs remain visible next to the names. Names reflect the current state: renaming a device also changes the name shown for its earlier entries. Closed user accounts, deleted API tokens, and devices without a name appear only by ID.

Audit log queries return the names of the actors of the returned entries in references. For paginated API queries, see Pagination.
